"Our ways of knowing, systems of power, and even notions of resistance tend to be spatial. For example, the very fact that shared space, social space, or the public sphere is the privileged ground of political life is symptomatic of the negation of the temporal, of critical time… Certain temporal modes are valorized as appropriate to political space. For example, the slow inter-subjective time of a contemplative and deliberative public sphere is the assumed form of a properly civic and politicized public. The uneven temporalities that are the condition of the possibility for political space are completely unacknowledged. But they are there and quite visible if one becomes temporally attuned. And, this is the crux of critical time; an understanding of time as multiple and relational. A critical understanding of time can alter and transform some of the most normative categories and practices of political life, and even our ethical relations with others."

I am such a lost queer walking the streets of Boystown."
